Trina Turk Preview and Trunk Show Part 2
Drum roll, please! What you all have been waiting for!! Trina Turk’s indoor/outdoor fabric collection for Schumacher. Hooray! In my last post (Part 1), you saw a little of the designers inspiration, along with some snap shots of her fabulous jewelry and bags. Swoon. Now, I would like to take the time to share her her fabric collection with you. The Schumacher showroom did a great job displaying the fabrics in different ways. Such a nice treat considering we typically see the memo samples stapled flat to the fabric wings. But for this event, the fabric was shown off in draping panels, large square pillows and in groupings with coordinating fabrics. There was even an upholstered surfboard. I had been referring to this event as the “perfect kick-off to spring” and boy was I right. I was in heaven.
These were my two favorite prints (below). The pink & orange colorway, which is a hot combo right now, was to die for.
Indoor/Outdoor fabrics are so great because they perform extremely well in high traffic areas and less than desirable weather conditions. I use them often INSIDE the home for my clients with kids/pets or anyone that entertains often. It’s a no-brainer. The indoor/outdoor fabric options have really shifted in the last few years. They have always been pretty durable and easy to clean, but now we are seeing a much broader variety in style, print and color. Plus, the fabrics feel pretty good too! A major improvement. What a fabulous way to introduce some color in your house. Whether it be on a gorgeous pair of ottomans for your family room (It’s almost spring, people!) or cushions for your cabana around your pool!! These fabrics will certainly pack a punch!
