Top 3 Things I Learned at the District Sample Sale.

Top 3 Things I Learned at the District Sample Sale:

1. Do your homework BEFORE you go. Get to know the participating stores and map our your plan of attack. Go to the second floor FIRST where the bigger vendors (and cupcakes) are. At least that was the case this time.  And be aggressive. B-E aggressive.

2. Housewives are not always what they seem. Mary from The Real Housewives of DC is really pretty. Like really pretty. Her daughter, Lolly, needed to brush her hair.  Lynda, another Housewife, is about 3′ tall. I could have put her in my pocket.

3. Don’t forget your camera. Otherwise, your photos look like these (see below). No actually don’t. You can skip them. My phone can’t take pictures fast enough to photograph anything worth a darn. Most of these are of random people standing or walking around. FAIL.

For serious coverage of the event, please check out Revamp’s post: Deals & Steals at the Spring 2011 District Sample Sale! They did a super job capturing the spirit of the evening. Oh and this is what I bought from Fornash! Love it. I bought the black one.

Sign me up for the fall sale! I’m already looking forward to it. Just please don’t let me forget my camera…
