A sweet outing to Sweet.

While in Boston last weekend, David and I stopped into Sweet in Harvard Square for a sweet treat. I’ve made a personal promise to myself to try every and all cupcakes that I come across (good idea, fattie) on a never-ending search to find THE ultimate cupcake*. I knew when I saw Sweet that I owed it to myself to try it. Besides, look at the exterior. How could I ignore that storefront? It’s like a Disney princess designed it.

Some little kid wanted a cupcake more than I did. I feel sorry for the person who had to Windex that glass case after he wiped his hands over every square inch of it.  And how about that wallpaper? Uhh, it’s totally adorable.

Frosting shot from Sweet

Ladies and gentlemen, you read right, that pink sign in the above photo is advertising a frosting shot. A frosting shot? That’s the most amazing thing I have ever seen. So, Sweet wins a “Best Use of Frosting” award and a “Most Delightful Decor” nomination. Congratulations.

*My vote for perfect cupcake is the Milk Chocolate Birthday cupcake from Georgetown Cupcake (thank you, Sarah). Although, I hate to admit that because their show on TLCDC Cupcakesruined their cupcakes for me for most of 2010. The show and the people on it are pretty annoying. Stick to baking, ladies.
